Marcos Jr. on Wednesday met with Singapore Prime Minister Lawrence Wong during his three-day working visit in the Southeast Asian country.</p><div><a class="fr-green fr-strong" href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2026/7/13/marcos-to-hold-working-visit-in-singapore-1540">READ: Marcos to hold working visit in Singapore</a></div><p>The two leaders &quot;reaffirmed the enduring partnership between the Philippines and Singapore and advance cooperation across key sectors.&quot;</p><p>The Philippines is poised to pass the ASEAN chairship torch to Singapore, who will host the summit in 2027.</p><p>Marcos and Wong discussed &quot;expanding trade, harnessing opportunities in artificial intelligence, attracting more investments, and strengthening collaboration in health and social development.&quot;</p><p>They also agreed to pursue new bilateral agreements that will further benefit both nations.</p><p>The Philippines and Singapore reaffirmed their shared commitment in keeping ASEAN as a peaceful, stable, and prosperous region with greater opportunities for their people.</p><p>Marcos will stay in Singapore until July 16, Thursday.</p><div><br/></div><div><strong>MEETING WITH BUSINESS LEADERS</strong></div><p>As part of his working visit,  Marcos also met with executives of ABC Impact, the Ayala Group, and representatives from the Temasek Trust ecosystem &quot;to discuss initiatives that will expand access to quality healthcare for Filipinos.&quot;</p><p>ABC Impact reaffirmed its commitment to support AC Health&#x27;s continued expansion following its investment in AC Health, which gives it an approximately 16% minority stake in the company. </p><p>Together with the Ayala Group, the partnership aims to provide high-quality and affordable healthcare to more Filipinos by accelerating the expansion of hospitals, multi-specialty clinics, retail pharmacies, and other healthcare services across the country, increasing access to quality medical care in more communities.</p><p>The initiative is expected to create thousands of healthcare and retail jobs.</p><div><br/></div><div><strong>SINGTEL MEET</strong></div><p>Marcos also met with executives of the Singtel Group to discuss initiatives that will expand investments in the Philippines&#x27; digital infrastructure and support the country&#x27;s growing digital economy.</p><p>The meeting underscored Singtel&#x27;s continued confidence in the Philippine market through its long standing partnership with Globe Telecom and the growth of NCS Philippines, a joint venture between NCS and Globe&#x27;s Yondu. </p><p>Singtel reaffirmed its commitment to expand its investments and operations in the country, while the ongoing development of ST Telemedia Global Data Centres in Quezon City and Cavite will strengthen the Philippines&#x27; digital infrastructure and reinforce its position as an emerging regional data hub.</p>
