<p>All 81 Filipino seafarers aboard four Philippine-registered vessels are now out of the Strait of Hormuz conflict area, according to the Department of Foreign Affairs.</p><p>The DFA reported that the four Philippine-registered vessels- MV Lyng Trader, MV Western Doncaster, MV Vivian Trader, and MV Eva Fuji made their safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz between June 24 and July 1.</p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/world/2026/7/18/us-iran-trade-attacks-as-renewed-war-intensifies-0807"><strong>US, Iran trade attacks as renewed war intensifies</strong></a></div><p>Most of the 8 Filipino seafarers have resumed their regular seafaring duties, while others have taken the opportunity to return home to their families, said the foreign affairs department.</p><p>To date, the United Nations has facilitated the safe passage of 136 vessels and approximately 2,900 seafarers out of the conflict area. </p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/world/2026/7/16/us-launches-new-iran-strikes-as-trump-threatens-wider-attacks-0914"><strong>US launches new Iran strikes as Trump threatens wider attacks </strong></a> </div><p>The DFA said evacuation operations were suspended following the end of the temporary ceasefire between Iran and the United States, leaving some Filipino seafarers still stranded in the region. </p><p>&quot;The DFA continues to closely monitor the situation and remains committed to ensuring their safety and eventual safe passage home,&quot; said the DFA.</p>
