Panfilo “Ping” Lacson on Sunday blasted Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano and said he is now counting informants to put him behind bars, after the latter questioned the doubling of his wealth in 2025.</p><p>Lacson on Saturday said his wealth had actually grown four times since 2022, the year he left government service. He added <a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2026/7/18/lacson-says-live-selling-cayetano-had-p6-79-b-budget-insertions-in-2025-gaa-1823">the money was from real estate deals and businesses</a> and that these are all documented.</p><p>“My integrity is my first and last line of defense and I will fight to defend it with all my might. Sen Cayetano has crossed the line by attacking it,” Lacson said in an X post.</p><p>“As of this morning, I’m still counting informants and witnesses, directly or through intermediaries, willing to provide information and evidence to put him in his proper place — the Payatas, QC jail,” he added.</p><p>In a Saturday Facebook Live, Cayetano questioned the doubling of Lacson’s net worth from 2022 to 2025, when the former police general was a private citizen.</p><p>Lacson said his wealth increased “through legitimate means” as reflected in his income tax returns (ITRs) for 2023 and 2024.</p><p>He also said he “maintained a ‘No-Take’ policy” since when he headed the Philippine National Police from 1999 to 2001 and “did not partake of any form of ‘pork barrel’ and rejected lobby money from some sectors in exchange for ‘favorable’ legislation.”</p><p>&quot;Hindi ako abusado at hindi ako corrupt na government official (I am neither abusive nor corrupt),&quot; he stressed.</p><p>Cayetano answered back in another Facebook Live video, saying Lacson is merely attacking his political “enemies.”</p><p>“That’s how he melts down by destroying his enemies. Konting patience din kay Senator Lacson kasi one, may amo eh (Let&#x27;s have some patience with Senator Lacson because, number one, he has a master) ” Cayetano, who is perceived to be allied with the Dutertes, said. </p><div><br/></div><div><strong>2025 WEALTH DECLARATIONS</strong></div><p>According to his <a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2025/10/28/10-more-senators-give-media-access-to-their-salns-1136">2025 Statement of Assets, Liabilities and Net Worth</a>, Lacson declared a net worth of P244,940,509.60.</p><p>He disclosed business interests in MegaStar Agri Farming Corporation, San Pedro Calungsod Medical Center, Solarestate Marketing Corp., and Southseas Agri Aqua Ventures, Inc.</p><p>Cayetano <a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2025/10/29/all-24-senators-of-20th-congress-release-salns-1343">declared a net worth of P109,130,757</a> and a business interest in Philippine Art Nation, Inc</p><p>Lacson previously chaired the Blue Ribbon Committee, which investigated the corruption scheme in flood control projects.</p><p>He was removed from the post after the Senate shake-up on May 11 that elected Cayetano to the Senate presidency.</p><p>Cayetano was removed from the post on June 3, but still claimed to hold the helm until Senate President Sherwin Gatchalian was elected by a majority on June 17.</p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2026/7/18/lacson-says-live-selling-cayetano-had-p6-79-b-budget-insertions-in-2025-gaa-1823">Lacson says &#x27;live-selling&#x27; Cayetano had P6.79-B budget insertions in 2025 GAA</a></div><div> </div><div><strong>&#x27;BUDGET INSERTIONS, GHOST PROJECTS&#x27;</strong></div><p>Meanwhile, Lacson claimed that Cayetano had P6.79 billion worth of budget insertions under the 2025 General Appropriations Act (GAA).</p><p>He also said without providing proof that there are ghost flood control projects in Taguig City, Cayetano’s bailiwick, with the city engineer gambling away huge sums in Metro Manila casinos.</p><p>Cayetano has claimed that a <a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/sports/othersports/2026/7/14/nbi-launches-probe-into-alleged-irregularities-in-2019-sea-games-infrastructure-projects-2232">National Bureau of Investigation</a> probe into alleged anomalies in infrastructure projects for the 2019 Southeast Asian (SEA) Games, including the sports complex in New Clark City, Tarlac are <a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2026/7/15/-binabawasan-talaga-kami-iniisa-isa-cayetano-says-2019-sea-games-probe-aims-to-intimidate-him-1433">meant to intimidate him</a>.</p><p>Cayetano chaired the event&#x27;s organizing committee, but asserted that he had “nothing to do with the infrastructure.” </p><p>NBI Director Melvin Matibag, who announced the investigation and who is set to stand as a witness in the impeachment trial of Vice President Sara Duterte on Tuesday, has said he did not see Cayetano&#x27;s name among those to be investigated.</p><p>The <a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2026/7/17/ombudsman-to-review-2019-sea-games-files-1436">Office of the Ombudsman</a> has also said it will reopen the files related to the games. <strong>— with Allison Co, ABS-CBN News</strong></p><div><br/></div><div><strong>RELATED VIDEO:</strong></div><div style="text-align:center"><iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/TrLA2Ejp1ww?si=aP6Lt6_XxP-_YIy8" title="YouTube video player" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen=""></iframe></div>
