Another 19 percent said they were undecided while 45 precent had little &quot;trust&quot;.</p><p>Among the issues in the headlines in June, when the survey was conducted were the arrest of Sen. Jinggoy Estrada for graft and plunder cases, the leadership struggle at the Senate and the special session of Congress that ended it, a major earthquake in Mindanao, and the school shooting in Tacloban City.</p><p>Stratbase president Victor Andres &quot;Dindo&quot; Manhit said the findings show that “Filipinos will be looking not for rhetoric but for a clear plan to address the issues that affect their daily lives” when the president speaks before a joint session of Congress.</p><p>Noting controversies on flood-control projects as well as the impeachment proceedings against Vice President Sara Duterte, Manhit said the president “has an opportunity to show that no one is above accountability and that public resources will be protected.”</p><div><br/></div><div><strong>DUTERTE RATING UNCHANGED</strong></div><p>Meanwhile, Duterte received a 57 percent &quot;much trust rating&quot;, unchanged from the her first quarter.</p><p>Another 15 percent of respondents were undecided while 27 precent had little trust.</p><p>Duterte faces an impeachment trial at the Senate for alleged irregularities in the use of confidential funds and threatening the lives of Marcos Jr. and his relatives, among other accusations.</p><p>She has denied the allegations and has called them politically motivated and meant to keep her from running for president in 2028.</p>
