MANILA — Five senator-judges — Alan Peter Cayetano, Pia Cayetano, Imee Marcos, Loren Legarda, and Camille Villar — have opposed the disclosure of Vice President Sara Duterte&#x27;s bank and tax records.According to Senate Impeachment Court spokesperson Atty. Reginald Tongol, the five senator-judges each filed separate manifestations expressing their objections.However, Tongol clarified that he is not yet privy to the content of the manifestations filed by the five senator-judges.“Hindi pa po ako privy dun eh. So, hindi ko pa po nababasa. But, I will try to ask about the contents of those manifestations,” Tongol said.The opposition came following Presiding Officer Francis &quot;Chiz&quot; Escudero&#x27;s ruling to issue subpoenas to the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) and the Anti-Money Laundering Council (AMLC) for the disclosure of Vice President Duterte&#x27;s tax and bank records.Furthermore, Tongol said that if any party wishes to challenge the presiding officer&#x27;s ruling, they must seek another legal remedy.Under the Senate impeachment rules, a motion for reconsideration is not provided.If no remedy is specified under the Senate impeachment rules, the parties may look to the suppletory Rules of Court for guidance.“Walang nakalagay na pwedeng mag-motion for reconsideration at kung hindi po inilalagay &#x27;yung recourse na &#x27;yun, then they have to find another recourse in the suppletory Rules of Court regarding the issuance of the subpoena,” Tongol added.
