<div><span class="fr-img-caption fr-fic fr-dib" style="width:960px;display:block" width="960"><span class="fr-img-wrap"><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1784785514213thumbnail-F7m3y2hyWVI-1280x720 (7).jpg" style="width:960px" class="fr-fic fr-dib" width="960"/><span class="fr-inner" style="text-align:left">Police arrested on Thursday the two suspects in the killing of vlogger Alicia Lipata, popularly known as &quot;Mima Alicia.&quot; <em>ABS-CBN News/File</em></span></span></span>MANILA<strong> (UPDATE) </strong>— Police have arrested the two suspects tagged in the killing of vlogger Alicia Lipata, popularly known as &quot;Mima Alicia,&quot; in an operation in Barangay Dau, Mabalacat, Pampanga on Thursday morning, the Philippine National Police (PNP) said.</div><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2026/7/21/pnp-2-suspects-in-vlogger-mima-alicia-s-killing-identified-0932">PNP: Two suspects in vlogger Mima Alicia’s killing identified</a></div><p>PNP Public Information Office chief Col. Allen Rae Co said the arrests came after days of investigation and follow-up operations by the Northern Police District&#x27;s Special Investigation Task Group Mima. </p><p>Police identified the two as the motorcycle-riding gunmen seen by witnesses during the attack. </p><p>&quot;Sila na po mismo &#x27;yung salarin. Sila na po &#x27;yung mismong may gawa noong sinasabi ng witness natin na dalawang naka-motor po na huminto po at pumatay kay Alicia Mima,&quot; Co said.</p><p>The suspects remain under the custody of Police Regional Office 3 while the investigation continues.</p><p>Authorities recovered from the suspects two hand grenades, a .45-caliber pistol, and a 9mm pistol. </p><p>Investigators are conducting ballistic examinations to determine whether one of the recovered firearms was used in Lipata&#x27;s killing. </p><p>&quot;We believe that it is the same firearm used in the killing but, of course, we will have to wait for the final ballistic examination,&quot; Co said. </p><div><br/></div><div><b>&#x27;NOT ACTING ALONE&#x27;</b><b><br/></b></div><div><b><br/></b></div><p>Despite the arrests, the PNP said it is still pursuing other individuals who may have planned or facilitated the crime. </p><p>&quot;We’re not stopping with the arrest of these two. There could be some other people who might be involved. We are not saying na meron, but possible, napaka-possible po,&quot; Co said. </p><p>Police declined to disclose details, saying the information could compromise ongoing operations, but said intelligence gathered so far indicates that the suspects &quot;were not acting alone.&quot; </p><p>According to Co, investigators believe the gunmen may have been aided by people monitoring the vlogger&#x27;s movements before the attack. </p><p>“May pinanggalingan si alias Mima so it was still in Caloocan, but it took them some time to go home. Nakita po natin na around 15 or 20 minutes before dumating sila, saka lang pumasok ‘yung dalawa,” Co explained.</p><p>“So it points to the fact that there were some other people who were looking or surveilling ito pong movements nila. Kasi napaka-exact na bago dumating ‘yung victim saka lang pong pumasok a few minutes before ‘yun pong mga salarin,” he added.</p><p>Authorities earlier said that the alleged gunman had previously been linked to several criminal cases before his arrest. </p><p>Police have yet to establish the motive behind the killing, saying all possible angles remain under investigation. </p><p>The suspects are set to face charges of murder, violation of Republic Act No. 10591 or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act, and violation of Republic Act No. 9516 for illegal possession of explosives.</p><div><br/></div><div><strong>RELATED VIDEO</strong></div><div><strong><span class="fr-video fr-deletable fr-fvc fr-dvb fr-draggable" contenteditable="false" draggable="true"><iframe width="640" height="360" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/pIPtOjRV7tk?&amp;wmode=opaque&amp;rel=0" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen="" class="fr-draggable"></iframe></span></strong><br/></div>
