<div><span class="fr-img-caption fr-fic fr-dib" style="width:960px;display:block" width="960"><span class="fr-img-wrap"><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/178479510294620230124-doj-logo-MD-1.jpg" style="width:960px" class="fr-fic fr-dib" width="960"/><span class="fr-inner" style="text-align:left">Department of Justice. <em>Mark Demayo, ABS-CBN News</em></span></span></span></div><p>MANILA — The Department of Justice is set to issue a department order to mandate local prosecution offices to receive complaints on bullying, following the shooting incident at San Jose National High School in Tacloban City.</p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/regions/2026/6/22/alleged-school-shooting-reported-in-tacloban-1034">3 dead, 13 injured in school shooting in Tacloban</a></div><p>According to DOJ Undersecretary Ian Norman Dato, as promised by Secretary Fredderick Vida, officers in local prosecution offices as well as the DOJ Action Center will be tasked to receive complaints.</p><p>“So pwede po niya itong i-assess, pwede niyang i-mediate pwede nyang i-refer to the school na may primary jurisdiction or kaya i-refer sa sa women and children protection desk ng Philippine National Police,” Dato said.</p><p>Dato also underscored that the department’s commitment against bullying and the protection of the rights of the child is mandated by the Constitution as well as international laws on the protection of children.</p><p>“Kailangan lang pong bigyan diin na ito ay isang pamamaraan na mayroong access iyong biktima at parents na maliban sa paaralan mayroon silang ibang ahensya na malalapitan at madudulugan,” Dato said.</p><div><br/></div><div><strong>RELATED VIDEO</strong></div><div><span class="fr-video fr-deletable fr-fvc fr-dvb fr-draggable" contenteditable="false" draggable="true"><iframe width="640" height="360" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/_XFQSzzmbXU?&amp;wmode=opaque&amp;rel=0" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen="" class="fr-draggable"></iframe></span><br/></div>
