<div><span class="fr-img-caption fr-fic fr-dib" style="width:960px;display:block" width="960"><span class="fr-img-wrap"><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1785030117264756757231_2531739794009107_3836020639389192504_n.jpg" style="width:960px" class="fr-fic fr-dib" width="960"/><span class="fr-inner" style="text-align:left">DSWD - SOCCSKSARGEN delivers family food packs to residents affected by the southwest monsoon and Typhoon Kiyapo. <em>Department of Social Welfare and Development/Facebook</em></span></span></span>MANILA — The Department of Social Welfare and Development has deployed disaster response teams to provide humanitarian aid following the flash floods induced by Typhoon Kiyapo and the southwest monsoon or habagat.</div><p>DSWD spokesperson Irene Dumlao said the department has fully mobilized its regional personnel in SOCCSKARGEN to assist local government units in managing evacuation and relief operations, particularly in Sarangani Province and General Santos City that are most affected.</p><p>The DSWD field office in the Caraga Region has dispatched 175 family tents for the Davao Region.</p><p>The agency assured sufficient relief resources for those affected, including 4.7 million family food packs prepositioned nationwide ready for immediate distribution to affected communities.</p><p>Kiyapo also unleashed floods in other parts of the country.
