<p>MANILA — Senate Blue Ribbon Committee chair Erwin Tulfo on Thursday raised the possibility that the panel might not probe the allegations of corruption in public works projects in Taguig City, the political bailiwick of Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano, which were raised by Sen. Panfilo Lacson.</p><p>Tulfo pointed out that Lacson had turned over evidence to the Office of the Ombudsman.</p><p>“Yung inirereklamo ni Sen. Ping sa Taguig, nasa Ombudsman na rin. Bakit namin ihihear pa rito? Pero kakausapin ko po. Kailangan po ng consensus ng majority at saka ng minority po, ng members po ng Blue Ribbon,” Tulfo said. </p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2026/7/28/lacson-cayetano-taguig-ghost-projects-ombudsman-1506">Lacson turns over evidence on alleged Taguig ‘ghost’ projects to Ombudsman; Cayetano says ‘beware malicious accusations’ </a></div><p>Tulfo noted that the Ombudsman had warned the panel against duplicating ongoing probes. </p><p>“Nagsabi na po ang Ombudsman sila na mag-imbestiga, wag na makialam ang Blue Ribbon. Pero kami, gusto ko ho, kung may mga bagong personality na naman na sabit po sa flood control na naman or other farm-to-market [roads] or other infra projects, then, then we&#x27;ll investigate again, &#x27;di po ba? Pero ngayon, nandoon na po yung lahat sa Ombudsman eh,” he said. </p><p>Tulfo said he and Senate President Sherwin Gatchalian would discuss the matter with Ombudsman Jesus Crispin Remulla. </p><p>The Blue Ribbon has yet to complete its members and cannot mount hearings yet.</p><p>“Inaantay po namin yung minority na magsumite sila,” Tulfo said. “Nagpahiwatig naman na magbibigay po sila next week ng membership para mapag-usapan na ho ito. Panfilo Lacson on Thursday rejected any &quot;ceasefire&quot; after exposing alleged anomalies involving infrastructure projects in Taguig City.</p><p>Lacson said that the offer of a “ceasefire” by someone who had arbitrarily and indiscriminately opened fire without provocation is &quot;hypocrisy aimed at buying time to recover and reconsolidate for his next sneaky move.&quot;</p><p>&quot;CEASEFIRE MY FOOT! Ang sabi ko lang naman, sa tamang venue, tamang panahon.
