Ombudsman stands by probe despite Revilla bail

MANILA - The Office of the Ombudsman said it will work to emphasize the basis for which it can state that evidence of guilt is “strong” against former Senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr. after the latter was temporarily freed. Revilla, who had been detained at the Quezon City Jail, posted a P1-million bail for his malversation case on Friday after the Sandiganbayan Third Division granted his petition.In January, the former senator also posted bail for his graft case.
