<div><span class="fr-img-caption fr-fic fr-dib" style="width:960px;display:block" width="960"><span class="fr-img-wrap"><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1785474308270photo-collage.png (24) (5).jpg" style="width:960px" class="fr-fic fr-dib" width="960"/><span class="fr-inner" style="text-align:left">Vice President Sara Duterte and Naga City Mayor Leni Robredo led the presidential survey of public opinion pollster WR Numero released Friday.<em> Bibo Nueva España, Senate PRIB &amp; Arnold Almacen, Iloilo City Mayor&#x27;s Office</em></span></span></span></div><p>MANILA — Vice President Sara Duterte and Naga City Mayor Leni Robredo led the presidential survey of public opinion pollster WR Numero released Friday.</p><p>The poll suggested that Duterte remained the frontrunner for the 2028 presidential elections despite gains of other prospective candidates, WR Numero said.</p><p>&quot;In head-to-head situations, almost a majority of Filipinos would vote for VP Sara Duterte over any potential candidate, with only 1 in 4 Filipinos open to changing their future votes for the presidency,&quot; it said.</p><p>The survey showed Duterte had 39.4 percent support (up by 3.5 percentage points) while Robredo garnered 20.9 percent (up by 5.2 percentage points).</p><p>Duterte, who is facing an impeachment trial at the Senate, <a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2026/2/18/sara-duterte-to-run-for-president-1102">announced </a>her intention to run for president in February. She has consistently emerged as the early favorite for the next presidential race.</p><p>Robredo, who previously said that she would like to seek a second term in her hometown Naga, &quot;gains more ground despite her repeated refusals to run for the position; in contrast, Sen. Raffy Tulfo shows a decrease in support as an alternative presidential candidate,&quot; the pollster noted.</p><p>Tulfo landed on the third spot with 14.2 percent. He was followed by Sen. Bong Go at 3.6 percent, Sen. Bam Aquino at 2.7 percent, and Sen. Risa Hontiveros at 2.1 percent. </p><p>Some 17 percent of the respondents said they were still unsure who to vote for president.</p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2026/6/19/hontiveros-says-democratic-opposition-to-announce-presidential-bet-by-early-2027-1422">Hontiveros says &#x27;democratic opposition&#x27; to announce presidential bet by early 2027</a></div><p>WR Numero conducted the survey from June 9 to 16, weeks before the start of Duterte&#x27;s impeachment trial. It polled 1,432 adults for the survey that has a ±2.6 percent margin of error.</p><div><br/></div><div><strong>VP CONTEST</strong></div><div><br/></div><p>For WR Numero, the vice presidential race &quot;remains hotly contested&quot; because there is no candidate who holds a sizable number over potential candidates.</p><p>Sen. Robin Padilla topped the vice presidential contest with 21.3 percent in the pre-election survey with Go just behind at 20.6 percent. Padilla and Go enjoyed &quot;a sharp increase&quot; — up by 9.6 and 8.4 percentage points, respectively —  in their June 2026 scores. </p><p>&quot;Similarly, Sen. Aquino&#x27;s numbers advance over his long-time allies. Almost half of Filipinos said that they would be open to changing their vote for the vice presidency,&quot; it said.</p><div><br/></div><div><strong>SENATE RACE</strong></div><div><br/></div><p>Padilla also led WR Numero&#x27;s senatorial polling with 39 percent rating. He was followed by Tulfo and Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto at both 36 percent. </p><p>Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano and former Sen. Grace Poe came in third on the pollster&#x27;s list at both 34 percent.</p><p>Other politicians in WR Numero&#x27;s &quot;Magic 12&quot; are the following:</p><div><br/></div><ul style="list-style-type:circle"><li>Sen. Loren Legarda - 32 percent</li><li>Davao City Mayor Sebastian &quot;Baste&quot; Duterte - 29 percent</li><li>Davao City First District Rep. Paolo &quot;Pulong&quot; Duterte - 28 percent</li><li>Former Sen. Manny Pacquiao - 22 percent</li><li>Makati City Mayor Nancy Binay - 22 percent</li><li>Former Makati City Mayor Abby Binay - 20 percent</li><li>Media personality Ben Tulfo - 17 percent</li><li>Education Secretary Sonny Angara - 17 percent</li><li>Sen.
