<p>MANILA - Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano is inviting Sen. Panfilo “Ping” Lacson and the public to Taguig to see the city&#x27;s infrastructure projects.</p><p>While investigating the infrastructure projects in Taguig, Lacson alleged that Cayetano “virtually controlled” the operations of the Department of Public Works and Highways in the city. </p><p>He said the alleged anomalies included the recycling of photos for billing and collection. </p><p>Cayetano, however, reiterated on Saturday that, to the best of his knowledge, there are no ghost projects in his bailiwick.</p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2026/7/28/lacson-cayetano-taguig-ghost-projects-ombudsman-1506"><strong>Lacson turns over evidence on alleged Taguig ‘ghost’ projects to Ombudsman; Cayetano says ‘beware malicious accusations’ </strong></a> </div><p>“Let me assure you, lahat ng allegations na binabato sa amin ay masasagot and let me assure you na maayos dito sa Taguig,” Cayetano said in a Facebook Live on Saturday. “Hinihintay ko lang parati ‘yung specific na allegation. Minsan kasi, hulugan din ‘yung mga allegation.”</p><p>“I will continue to invite, not only Sen. Lacson, not only his staff, but everyone. Iba kasi &#x27;yung sa papel-papel, iba &#x27;yung sa picture-picture. Tignan n&#x27;yo &#x27;yung budget, pumunta kayo sa lugar, makikita n&#x27;yong nandiyan talaga &#x27;yung project at magaganda. Again, to the best of my knowledge,” he said.</p><p>Based on five case studies, Lacson said that aside from photo recycling, his team discovered  that the alleged anomalies also included double appropriations for the same project and overlapping spans of slope protection projects, which may have cost the government hundreds of millions of pesos.</p><p>He added that district engineers in Taguig were unable to act without Cayetano’s approval.</p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2026/7/31/cayetano-denies-seeking-ceasefire-with-lacson-0023"><strong>Cayetano denies seeking &#x27;ceasefire&#x27; with Lacson </strong></a> </div><p>Also during his Facebook Live, Cayetano said he used to like Lacson but no longer does.</p><p>“May iba tayong politiko, including Sen. Lacson, gustong-gusto natin dati, maaring ngayon hindi, pero may pag-asa parati. Baka bumalik siya sa dati niyang for-the-truth fighting stance &#x27;di ba? So, let&#x27;s not give up on people because God did not give up on us,” the lawmaker said.</p><p>Lacson has submitted the gathered evidence to the Ombudsman, which is now evaluating the submitted documents.</p><div> </div>
