Marcos said certain officials met them to say that they will agree to endorse Marcos Jr. if they will get to select the executive secretary, House speaker, and the Senate president.President Rodrigo Duterte ultimately did not give that endorsement and instead had Sen. Christopher &quot;Bong&quot; Go run for president. <a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/11/30/21/bong-go-quits-presidential-race">Go eventually withdrew</a>.Palace Press Officer Claire Castro said she asked Marcos Jr. about his son&#x27;s statements.&quot;At ang sabi lamang sa akin ay, ‘he has raised his kid well, and his son, Cong.
