Pabalate, PPA Pool </em></span></span></span></div><p>MANILA — The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) said drainage channels in España Boulevard need to be expanded, as the thoroughfare once again experienced flooding on Monday. </p><p>&quot;Tuloy-tuloy ang declogging natin diyan, pero ang problema sa España, unang-una iyong mga drainages lumang-luma talaga iyan, never pang napalitan iyan, since for the last 50 years siguro,&quot; DPWH Secretary Vince Dizon told reporters.</p><p>&quot;So, kailangan nating palakihin kamukha ng ginagawa natin ngayon sa Taft, sa G. Araneta pinaluwag na natin, ngayon lang natin sinimulan iyan, makikita natin iyong mga ininspeksyon mismo ng Pangulo na kasya ang tao doon, minsan nga kasya ang mga tricycle sa loob ng drainage eh,&quot; he added.</p><p>Dizon said most drainage channels in Metro Manila have not been replaced since their construction in the post-war era.</p><p>&quot;So kailangan iyong tubig, dadalhin natin, mayroon tayong gagawing apat na cross drainages na didiretso sa—tatapon sa mga estero natin, papuntang Pasig River sa Maynila.
