Roel Parreno, AFP</span></span></span></div><p>MANILA — The Bureau of Customs confirmed that one of two firearms used by a Grade 9 student who opened fire at the <a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/regions/2026/8/18/shooting-incident-reported-inside-zamboanga-city-school-0934">Ateneo de Zamboanga University</a> was issued to the pupil’s father who is a Customs police officer. </p><p>The other gun used in the attack was a personal firearm of the student’s father. </p><p>“It&#x27;s accountability that we should examine,” Interior Secretary Jonvic Remulla said. </p><p>“It appears that the shooter used legally issued firearms from the father.
