Terry Ridon.</p><p>“I think on the deck pa rin po si Sen. Trillanes to give testimony, but that will be decided on that future date kung tuloy po siya o hindi,” Ridon said during the Saturday News Forum at Dapo Restaurant in Quezon City.</p><p>Ridon said Trillanes is included in the prosecution’s list of potential witnesses, but the panel has yet to make a final decision on whether to put him on the stand.</p><div><a class="fr-green" href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2026/8/21/house-prosecution-sara-duterte-should-relay-to-defense-team-hope-for-speedy-trial-0027"><strong>House prosecution: Sara Duterte should relay to defense team hope for speedy trial</strong></a></div><p>“Kasama po siya doon sa mga inilista po ng mga testigo ng ating prosecution. I think siya rin po ay listang testigo ng defense. I have to confirm it again,” he said.</p><p>Trillanes testified before the House Committee on Justice in April that about P2.407 billion flowed from 2003 to 2016 through joint bank accounts held by Duterte and her father, former President Rodrigo Duterte. </p><p>The former senator said the figures were based on bank records provided to him by a source and examined with the help of accountants and financial specialists. He had first raised allegations involving the Duterte bank accounts during the 2016 presidential campaign.</p><p>Ttillanes also presented records on transactions involving Duterte, her husband lawyer Manases “Mans” Carpio and other members of the Duterte family.</p><p>During the same House proceedings, the Anti-Money Laundering Council (AMLC) presented its own financial data showing P6.77 billion in total transactions involving Duterte and Carpio, including P4.43 billion in inflows.</p><p>AMLC officials also confirmed that certain transactions appearing in Trillanes’ documents matched transactions in their records.</p><p>Ridon said prosecutors would decide whether Trillanes’ testimony remains necessary based on how the evidence develops.</p><p>“Katulad ng binabanggit po natin for each and every article, nakabatay po tayo on a day-to-day, week-to-week, witness per witness testimony bago po magpasya doon sa mga susunod pong mga isasalang po na mga testigo,” he said. </p><div><a class="fr-green" href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2026/8/22/senators-to-tackle-impeachment-sked-in-meeting-ahead-of-monday-s-trial-tulfo-1355"><strong>Senators to tackle impeachment sked in meeting ahead of Monday&#x27;s trial—Tulfo</strong></a></div><p>The House prosecution is still presenting evidence on Duterte’s alleged misuse of confidential funds.
