<p>MANILA — The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), through its Dangerous Drugs Division (NBI-DDD), arrested two suspected drug pushers, including a minor, in a buy-bust operation conducted in Taguig City on August 18, 2026.</p><p>The operation stemmed from a confidential report involving the alleged illegal sale of methamphetamine hydrochloride, or “shabu.” </p><p>NBI agents seized 96.2098 grams of suspected shabu valued at approximately P700,000. </p><p>Initial drug screening by the NBI Forensic Chemistry Division indicated the presence of shabu in the seized substance.</p><p>The minor was turned over to Bahay Pag-Asa in Taguig City for assessment of his discernment. </p><p>Both subjects were subsequently presented for online inquest proceedings for alleged violations of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.</p><div><a class="fr-green fr-strong" href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/regions/2026/7/30/p510-million-shabu-seized-at-batangas-port-2-alleged-drug-couriers-arrested-1608">P510-million shabu seized at Batangas Port; 2 alleged drug couriers arrested</a></div><div><br/></div><div><strong>RELATED VIDEO:</strong></div><div style="text-align:center"><iframe width="960" height="540" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/1PnG63PUpNU?si=qipljZ25bqVrgr99" title="YouTube video player" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen=""></iframe></div>
