Rodge Gutierrez clarified on Tuesday.</p><p>Gutierrez issued the clarification after private prosecutor Atty. Lorna Kapunan said before the start of the impeachment trial&#x27;s 12th day that she intends to subpoena Mary Grace Piattos.</p><div><a class="fr-green fr-strong" href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2026/8/4/prosecution-to-seek-subpoena-for-mary-grace-piattos-kapunan-1019">READ: Prosecution to seek subpoena for Mary Grace Piattos -- Kapunan</a></div><p>&quot;This goes to show po na it’s a very lively discussion even between the members of the prosecution… But all we can say is that it speaks to how important the question is,&quot; said Gutierrez.</p><p>&quot;Sino ang tumanggap? That&#x27;s one of the core issues we&#x27;re trying to establish,&quot; he added.</p><p>Piattos is one of the names that appeared on the Office of the Vice President’s acknowledgment receipts, which the prosecution flagged for supposedly being dubious.</p><p>House prosecution spokesperson Atty. Jay Tolosa echoed the same view, saying the prosecution has no objection if the individuals behind the names Mary Grace Piattos and the other controversial names appearing on the acknowledgment receipts come forward.</p><p>Former COA state auditor Roderick Wamil, the prosecution’s witness, earlier authenticated before the impeachment court an acknowledgment receipt submitted by the OVP bearing the name Mary Grace Piattos for a P70,000 payment for medicines.</p><p>&quot;At the end of the day, ang importante doon patunayan mo na talagang may binili kang medicine. Hindi mo naman hihingin yung OR kay Mary Grace Piattos.
