Hazel Asilo.</p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2026/8/3/knife-used-in-fatal-las-pi-as-school-stabbing-bought-online-says-ncrpo-1402">Knife used in fatal Las Piñas school stabbing bought online, says NCRPO</a></div><p>Speaking to state television PTV on Tuesday, Asilo said the student placed the knife inside a tumbler to get it inside the campus.</p><p>&quot;Parang umiiwas sya at may prior incident ng bullying, although hindi po niya nasabi, kung sino po yung nambu-bully sa kanya,&quot; Asilo said on Bagong Pilipinas.</p><p>The student fatally stabbed his 13-year-old schoolmate over a small dispute on P10 change in the school&#x27;s hallway.</p><p>Asilo said they do not see negligence on the part of the school, saying authorities responded quickly and brought the victim to the hospital.</p><p>&quot;Kailangan pa rin natin alamin kung nasunod ang security protocols, at kung may bahagi ng screening process na dapat pang palakasin,&quot; Asilo said.</p><p>Asilo said the student has undergone inquest but is exempted from criminal liability because he is just 14 years old.</p><p>However, he will need to undergo intensive intervention and treatment in a facility, with a guidance from a social worker.</p><div><br/></div><div><strong>RELATED VIDEO</strong></div><div><strong><span class="fr-video fr-deletable fr-fvc fr-dvb fr-draggable" contenteditable="false" draggable="true"><iframe width="640" height="360" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/VMpH4lbrTIQ?&amp;wmode=opaque&amp;rel=0" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen="" class="fr-draggable"></iframe></span></strong><br/></div>
