Maria Tan, ABS-CBN News/File </span></span></span></div><p>MANILA — Day 20 of the impeachment trial of Vice President Sara Duterte is set to tackle the alleged misuse of P112.5 million in confidential funds of the Department of Education, with several officials scheduled to testify Tuesday.</p><p>Prosecution lawyer Lorna Kapunan earlier said Armed Forces officers Col. Manaros Boransing II and Col. Magtanggol Panopio will testify on certifications they signed about the Youth Leadership Summit, in which alleged DepEd confidential funds were allegedly used.</p><p>“We will find out kung nagbigay nga ba ang Vice President,” she said in an ANC Headstart interview.</p><div><span class="fr-video fr-deletable fr-fvc fr-dvb fr-draggable" contenteditable="false" draggable="true"><iframe width="640" height="360" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/l-YX-JWOY1o?&amp;wmode=opaque&amp;rel=0" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen="" class="fr-draggable"></iframe></span><br/></div><p>Armed Forces spokesperson Col. Francel Margareth Padilla noted the officers have previously appeared in a legislative inquiry of the House of Representatives. </p><p>“We are going to allow them and support them in performing their mandate to shed light on these questions,” the spokesperson said.  </p><p>Another witness, former DepEd special disbursing officer Edward Fajarda, will not be able to attend the trial for now due to health reasons.</p><p>The prosecution is also set to present defense counsel and spokesperson for the defense Michael Poa as a hostile witness. Poa, a former DepEd assistant chief-of-staff, previously testified before the House Committee on Good Government in 2024.</p><p>Kapunan said it would be difficult to determine what Poa would say since he is wearing three hats.
