Arnulfo Go pleaded not guilty before the Sandiganbayan Fourth Division to malversation over the alleged misuse of PDAF allocations.</p><p>Former Lebak, Sultan Kudarat Mayor Dionesio Begas Besana and Municipal Treasurer Mario Abasolo Labrador entered not guilty pleas.</p><p>They were committed to the Quezon City Jail in Payatas.</p><p>According to court documents, police noted that Besana and Abasolo voluntarily surrendered themselves.</p><p>Meanwhile, Go and his co-accused, Municipal Accountant Allan Bayani, remain at-large.</p><p>The prosecution alleged Go and his co-accused conspired to &quot;willfully, unlawfully, and feloniously&quot; misappropriate the former congressman’s PDAF intended for the rehabilitation of barangay roads in Sultan Kudarat in 2012.</p><p>The criminal information filed by the Office of the Ombudsman also alleged the funds were released to the former congressman through reimbursement checks that had &quot;no legal basis&quot; and were made in violation of National Budget Circular No. 529, the Local Government Code, the Government Procurement Reform Act, and Commission on Audit circulars.</p><div><strong>RELATED STORIES:</strong></div><div><strong><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2026/9/2/bonoan-clinically-stable-remains-at-pnp-general-hospital-1142">Sandiganbayan says no release order yet for Bonoan</a></strong><br/><strong><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2026/9/2/palace-respects-sandigan-decision-discharging-bonoan-as-co-accused-in-estrada-flood-control-cases-1613">Palace respects Sandiganbayan decision discharging Bonoan as co-accused in Estrada flood control cases</a></strong></div>
