<div><span class="fr-img-caption fr-fic fr-dib" style="width:960px;display:block" width="960"><span class="fr-img-wrap"><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/178839428468520260828-habagat-cubao-qc-commuters-MT15 (4).jpg" style="width:960px" class="fr-fic fr-dib" width="960"/><span class="fr-inner" style="text-align:left">Authorities have recovered the SUV that fell into the Tarlac River when the Agana Bridge collapsed. <em>📹: Ryan Evangelista, ABS-CBN News DNG Specialist </em></span></span></span></div><p>MANILA — Authorities have recovered the SUV that fell into the Tarlac River when a portion of the Agana Bridge collapsed on Aug. 29, but no other missing victim was found inside the vehicle, the Tarlac Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) said Wednesday night.</p><p>The SUV was discovered less than two kilometers from the Agana Bridge after the river&#x27;s water level subsided.</p><p>A resident who was fishing in the area spotted one of the vehicle&#x27;s wheels emerged from the water.</p><p>Rescuers initially secured the vehicle with ropes and used a larger crane in an attempt to pull it out, but the SUV remained deeply buried in sand.</p><div><br/></div><div><span class="fr-video fr-deletable fr-fvc fr-dvb fr-draggable" contenteditable="false" draggable="true"><iframe src="https://www.facebook.com/plugins/video.php?height=314&amp;href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Freel%2F1731321781484926%2F&amp;show_text=false&amp;width=560&amp;t=0" width="560" height="314" style="border:none;overflow:hidden" scrolling="no" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen="" class="fr-draggable"></iframe></span><br/></div><p>A backhoe was eventually deployed to clear the sand surrounding the vehicle, allowing authorities to lift it from the river.</p><p>The vehicle was later inspected by authorities and the families of the missing victims.</p><p>The Tarlac PDRRMO confirmed that no one was found inside the SUV.</p><p>“Wala pong laman yung sasakyan,” said Tarlac PDRRMO Officer Marvin Guiang.</p><p>The vehicle had five people on board when it fell into the river after a portion of the Agana Bridge collapsed.</p><div><br/></div><div><strong>FAMILY</strong></div><div><br/></div><p>One of the families who went to the site during the retrieval operations was the Collado family, who had just arrived from the United States. They said the SUV belonged to them and that their son was driving it when the bridge gave way.</p><p>Before the vehicle was recovered, Marcelino Collado, father of the missing driver, said the family continued to hope that their son would be found alive.</p><p>“Siguro andyan lang, napadpad lang somewhere, ayaw pa niya lumabas, nagpapalakas. In denial pa rin (kami).
