MANILA - The Philippine National Police said on Saturday it has not monitored any verified threat against either Vice President Sara Duterte or her family, following concerns she raised regarding the alleged conduct of police personnel.&nbsp;In a statement issued Saturday, PNP chief PGen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. said police took note of the Vice President&rsquo;s statements and concerns and was continuing to monitor the situation.&ldquo;To date, however, the Vice President has not reported to the PNP any threat to her life or to the safety of her family, including the threats she said date back to 2023,&rdquo; Nartatez said.&ldquo;Likewise, the PNP has not monitored any verified threat against the Vice President or her family,&rdquo; he added.The PNP also said it provided security assistance during Duterte&rsquo;s appearance at the Quezon City Regional Trial Court on September 5, where she posted bail in connection with a recent warrant of arrest.<div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2026/9/4/arrest-warrant-against-sara-duterte-shows-probable-cause-de-lima-1815">Arrest warrant against Sara Duterte shows &#39;probable cause&#39;&mdash; De Lima&nbsp;</a>&nbsp;</div>&ldquo;She was able to safely arrive at and leave the court,&rdquo; the PNP said.Nartatez said his office remains open to receiving documents, reports, or statements concerning the reported threats so authorities can assess and verify them.&ldquo;In the performance of their duties, police personnel are expected to faithfully comply with the law, observe existing policies and procedures, and carry out their responsibilities professionally and lawfully,&rdquo; Nartatez said.The chief PNP said they also acknowledged the right of individuals to raise concerns regarding their safety and treatment.&ldquo;We will allow the verification process to take its course and provide appropriate information once the facts have been established,&rdquo; Nartatez said.<div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2026/9/5/vp-duterte-posts-bail-at-qc-court-over-grave-threats-case-1252">VP Duterte posts bail at QC court over grave threats case</a></div>
