Wala rin po siyang nabanggit patungkol sa sinasabing threats way back 2023. Ngayon lang po ito nagsulputan,&quot; Castro said in a briefing Monday, September 7..</p><p>&quot;So, pinapasinungalingan po natin ang pagbibintang na ito ng Bise Presidente, wala po itong anumang ebidensiya at walang anumang records na maipapakita ito,&quot; she added.</p><p>The Palace official also pushed back against Duterte claiming that the administration does not protect children&#39;s rights after she issued concern for her children following DILG Secretary Jonvic Remulla&#39;s statement that authorities &quot;knew of her whereabouts the night before but we did not force the warrant of arrest.&quot;</p><p>&quot;Ang Pangulo ay nagpuprotekta sa ating mga kabataan at hindi lamang siya ay isang leader kung hindi siya ay isang ama ng buong Pilipinas lalung-lalo na ng mga Kabataan,&quot; Castro responded, mentioning various government programs on child protection.&nbsp;</p><p>&quot;So, hindi po kapani-paniwala ang bintang na ang Pangulo ay hindi na pagpuprotekta sa ating mga Kabataan,&quot; she added.&nbsp;</p><p>Castro also assured public safety following Duterte&#39;s remark that she does not feel safe prior to posting bail on her grave threats case on Saturday, which was also echoed by her brother, Congressman Pulong Duterte in a Facebook post.</p><p>She reiterated that the Philippine National Police and even the National Bureau of Investigation had no record of Duterte reporting any threat in her life.</p><div><a class="fr-green fr-strong" href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2026/9/5/vp-duterte-arrives-at-qc-rtc-says-she-does-not-feel-safe-1116">READ: VP Duterte arrives at QC RTC, says she &#39;does not feel safe&#39;</a></div><p>&quot;Wala pong record, wala pong pagsusumbong, wala pong reklamo,&quot; Castro said.</p><p>The Palace official believes it would be best to ask Duterte of her reasons and to present documentary evidence to back up her claims.&nbsp;</p><p>&quot;So, muli, gusto nating ipaunawa sa lahat na ang PNP, ang kapulisan, at ang mga nagbibigay ng proteksyon sa ating mga kababayan ay tuluy-tuloy po ang pagbibigay ng mga aksyon para kayo po ay manatiling secured at safe at protected,&quot; she added.</p><p>&quot;So, wala pong pinanggagalingan ang anumang sinasabi ng Bise Presidente at ng kaniyang kapatid, wala pong nakikitang anumang ebidensiya patungkol po diyan,&quot; Castro noted.&nbsp;</p><p>Castro also urged the public not to lose trust in the courts.</p><p>&quot;Hindi po dapat mawalan ng tiwala ang taumbayan sa sistema po ng ating hustisya. At kung iyan po ang kaniyang nais na ipahiwatig, nasa kaniya po iyan. At hindi po natin ini-encourage ang lahat ng mga kababayan natin na hindi maniwala sa sistema ng hustisya sa ating bansa,&quot; she said.</p><p>Asked if the Palace does not see it ironic that Duterte decried untrustworthy courts while calling for her father&#39;s release from the ICC and be tried in a Philippine court, Castro responded: &quot;Siguro pananaw po nila iyan at siyempre po kung medyo alanganin &nbsp;sa interes nila ay ganyan po ang masasabi.&quot;</p><p>&quot;So, hindi natin malaman kung saan talaga ang gawi nila, totoo bang may magandang justice system sa Pilipinas o hindi dapat pagtiwalaan ang mga korte sa Pilipinas. So, depende na po siguro iyan sa kanilang interest, kaya po nila iyan nasasabi,&quot; Castro stated.&nbsp;</p><div><br></div><div><strong>PALACE RESPONDS TO &#39;SPECIAL TREATMENT&#39; CLAIM</strong></div><p>Meanwhile, the Palace also distanced itself from criticisms that Duterte received &quot;special treatment&quot; when she posted bail for her grave threats case, stemming from her supposed skipping of the mugshot process and the use of a red carpet.</p><p>&quot;Sa parte po ng hindi pagkuha ng mugshot, mayroon po kasing proseso na kapag po kayo ay pumunta nang diretso sa korte at naglagak po ng cash bond, ang lahat po ng requirements na maaaring isumite katulad po ng mga larawan, sketch ng tahanan, kung saan iyong address, barangay certificate, at kapag ito naman po ay nakumpleto, hindi naman po niri-require na pumunta pa sa presinto para sa the usual na nakikita nating mugshot,&quot; Castro said.</p><p>&quot;Ang paglalagay&mdash;as in literally red carpet na ginawa ng korte? Wala po tayong masasabi kung ano po ang naging dahilan ng korte. Iyan po ay hindi na po saklaw ng ehekutibo.
