DZMM Radyo Patrol 630 returns on air

<div><span class="fr-video fr-deletable fr-fvc fr-dvb fr-draggable" contenteditable="false" draggable="true"><iframe width="640" height="360" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/ICFo-PV_9ko?&amp;wmode=opaque&amp;rel=0" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen="" class="fr-draggable"></iframe></span><br/>MANILA — One of the most trusted AM radio stations in the country is making its official comeback under a familiar name. </div><p>DWPM Radyo 630 will now be known as DZMM Radyo Patrol 630, starting May 29 at 8 PM, following a decision by the Philippine Collective Media Corporation to adopt the iconic call sign.</p><p>Media Serbisyo Production Corporation, the producer of programs aired on the station, has also announced that Teleradyo Serbisyo will now be called DZMM Teleradyo — reviving the branding that has long been synonymous with reliable news and public service.</p><p>Marah Faner-Capuyan, President of Media Serbisyo Production Corporation, expressed joy over the development. </p><p>“Tayo ay natutuwa dahil sa isa sa pinagkakatiwalaang AM radio station sa Metro Manila ay magbabalik na of course sa pamamagitan ng partner nating Philippine Collective Media Corporation dahil ang DWPM Radyo Sais Trenta ngayon ay irerebrand na nila as DZMM Radyo Patrol Sais Trenta. At kasabay niyan ang pagpapalit din ng Teleradyo Serbisyo sa DZMM Teleradyo Serbisyo,” she said.</p><p>The relaunch comes with a strong 24/7 programming lineup that includes veteran journalists and personalities such as Noli De Castro, Charo Santos, Doris Bigornia, and Alvin Elchico, among others. </p><p>“Aba’y matagal na naming hinihintay ‘yan! Actually after nang tayo ay masara, pinaglaban ko na ‘yan na ibalik ‘yung DZMM Radyo Patrol Sais Trenta. But unfortunately, ‘yung mga panahon na ‘yun medyo mainit pa so hindi pa kami makagalaw. So ngayon, naibalik na at kami naman ay natutuwa,” said veteran broadcaster Kabayan Noli De Castro.</p><p>Charo Santos-Concio also welcomed the relaunch with heartfelt excitement. </p><p>“Masayang masaya ako para sa mga taga DZMM at para sa ating mga Kapamilya na patuloy na sumusuporta. We are bringing back a legacy of service, information, entertainment. Nasa puso na ‘yan ng bawat Kapamilya,” she said.</p><p>Her iconic drama anthology, Maalaala Mo Kaya, will also return and air weekdays at 12 noon. Several Radyo Patrol reporters also expressed their sentiments on the station’s revival. </p><p>“Bilang isang Radyo Patrol reporter, noong sabihin sa amin na babalik ang Radyo Patrol ay talagang tuwang tuwa kami dahil bahagi kami ng DZMM sa mahabang panahon. Ibabalik namin kung ano ang nakasanayan ng mga tao,” said Radyo Patrol No. 42 Dennis Datu. </p><p>His weekend co-anchor Noel Alamar, Radyo Patrol No. 38, shared a nostalgic reflection: “Well I spent half of my life with DZMM. 1986 andiyan na ako. I was a voluntary reporter for 15 years, a correspondent for seven years, and the rest was just a regular reporter. I am Radyo Patrol 38. Nagfa-flash ‘yung memories ko every time naiisip ko ang DZMM nagbabalik.”</p><p>For Lyza Aquino, Radyo Patrol No. 53, the return is both personal and historic. </p><p>“23 years old ako nung una akong kinupkop ng DZMM bilang pamilya nila, Radyo Patrol 53. Tapos syempre, malaking dagok para sa aming lahat nung nawala siya a couple of years back. Sabi ko pa nga sa sarili ko mukhang kami na ang pinaka huli na magiging batch ng Radyo Patrol. And lo and behold, sabi nga nila, you cannot put a good organization down.
