A recent Pulse Asia survey found that 91% of Filipinos use Facebook as their main online news source. The same survey also showed that 72%, or about seven in ten, consider disinformation a major problem, highlighting the country&#x27;s fake news prevalence.</p><div style="line-height:1"> </div><p style="line-height:1">&quot;When they read a news story, they assume it is true and comes from a credible news organization, so they share it with their friends, classmates, or anyone else. That, I think, is where we really have to educate them: that we have to think, we have to double-check, triple-check their sources before they share sa madlang people,&quot; said Rico Hizon, ANC Anchor and one of the key speakers of the eight Campus Patrol.</p><div style="line-height:1"> </div><p style="line-height:1">During the eighth leg of ABS-CBN News Campus Patrol at De La Salle University, ABS-CBN News Head Francis Toral emphasized the importance of responsible journalism in an era of rapidly evolving digital technology.
