Courtesy of MDRRMO Pandan</span></span></span></div><div><br/></div><p>Super typhoon Uwan brought extreme rainfall in Catanduanes that led to massive flooding in some areas, based on data from state weather bureau PAGASA.</p><p>The weather station in the capital town Virac recorded 392.4 millimeters of precipitation in two days, November 8 to 9.</p><p>This is almost equivalent to the monthly average precipitation of 418 mm in the area during November.</p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/regions/2025/11/10/catanduanes-verifying-reports-of-uwan-casualty-0821">Catanduanes verifying reports of &#x27;Uwan&#x27; casualty</a></div><p>Waist deep floods submerged parts of barangays Gogon Sirangan and Gogon Centro.</p><p>In the adjacent municipality of Bato, waist to chest deep floodwaters raged in the town center after Bato River — the longest in the province — burst its banks. </p><p>Locals consider it the worst flooding in the town in almost three decades.</p><p>In Legazpi City, 266 mm of rain was observed in two days - equivalent to almost three weeks of rain in the city in November.</p><p>Meanwhile, Daet, Camarines Norte logged 215 mm or almost two weeks of rain in November.</p><p>Uwan intensified into a super typhoon Sunday morning as it approached Bicol Region. The monster typhoon&#x27;s eyewall grazed the northern parts of Catanduanes, Camarines Sur, and Camarines Norte through Sunday afternoon.</p><p>Bringing destructive winds, it made<a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/regions/2025/11/10/super-typhoon-uwan-batters-aurora-4-northern-towns-isolated-1141"> landfall over Dinalungan, Aurora</a> past 9 p.m. Sunday.</p><p>The tropical cyclone gradually weakened after crossing land and interacting with the rugged terrain of northern Luzon.</p><p>Uwan emerged over the West Philippine Sea early Monday.</p><div><iframe width="734" height="413" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/GV6H2gxNw_g" title="LIVE: ABS-CBN News Special Coverage on Typhoon #UwanPH | November 10" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen=""></iframe></div>
