<div>Trigger warning: this story contains sensitive content.</div>MANILA -- Fourteen police officers assigned to the PNP Drug Enforcement Group (PDEG) Special Operations Unit (SOU) 4A in Calabarzon region have been accused of raping and robbing an 18-year-old Grade 9 student who also works as an online seller in Bacoor City, Cavite.Authorities have yet to disclose the full details, but PBGen. Paul Kenneth Lucas, regional director of the Calabarzon PNP, confirmed the incident in a phone conversation with the ABS-CBN News. He said a thorough investigation is now underway.The officers facing complaints hold ranks ranging from patrolman, police corporal, and police master sergeant to police lieutenant.In a follow-up operation, eight of the officers were arrested by elements from the Bacoor City Police Station, Regional Intelligence Division, Regional Headquarters Support Unit, and the Regional Mobile Force Battalion. They were taken into custody at the PDEG SOU 4A office inside Camp Vicente Lim in Calamba City, Laguna, at around 2 a.m. on Sunday.The Philippine National Police reiterated its firm commitment to discipline and integrity following the arrest of the eight policemen. In a statement, Acting PNP Chief Police Lieutenant General Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. stressed that the organization would not tolerate any form of abuse or misconduct, especially from those entrusted with public safety.<div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/regions/2025/11/23/pnp-assures-zero-tolerance-after-arrest-of-bacoor-cops-over-alleged-rape-of-grade-9-student-2014">PNP assures ‘zero tolerance’ after arrest of Bacoor cops over alleged rape of Grade 9 student</a></div>According to the complaint filed by the victim, based on the police report obtained by ABS-CBN News, the incident happened at around 7:45 a.m. on Saturday. The victim was outside her house in Barangay Talaba 3, Bacoor City, using her cellphone when armed men suddenly arrived and introduced themselves as police officers from Canlubang.Without warning, one of the men allegedly snatched her phone and forcibly dragged her inside the house.The officers then allegedly ransacked the entire home while searching for the victim’s boyfriend, who is allegedly involved in illegal drugs. “Pinagsisira mga upuan pati nga kandado ko ,sinira yung pinto ng kandado. Hindi mo makilala, naka-bonnet,” the victim’s grandfather said.The officers allegedly took the victim&#x27;s two gold rings and cellphone, along with the phones of others in the house. They also took her boyfriend’s shoes, cap, motorcycle, and helmet.When they could not find their supposed target, one of the officers allegedly said they needed to take the victim with them.But another officer reportedly intervened, saying he would “take care of her.” He then ordered the other officers to step out of the room, shut the door, and lock it. Nag-aaral pa yun,” the grandmother said. Follow-up operations are ongoing to arrest the six other police officers involved.The National Police Commission or NAPOLCOM has also launched its investigation.
