<p>MANILA <strong>(UPDATED)</strong> — Police Lt. Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr, acting Philippine National Police chief, has ordered a thorough investigation into the reported P14-million robbery in Porac, Pampanga, involving several police officers.</p><p>In a directive to Police Regional Office 3 (PRO-3), Nartatez instructed regional officials to account for all personnel implicated in the incident and place them under restrictive custody while the probe is ongoing.</p><p>“If the investigation result would find them liable, I assure our kababayan that all of them would not only be dismissed from the service, they would also go straight to jail,” Nartatez said in a statement.</p><p>The alleged robbery reportedly took place in Barangay Sta. Cruz, Porac, involving a contractor who claimed she was robbed of P14 million.</p><p>Some police officers have been tagged in the complaint, prompting the PNP to launch a full investigation.</p><div><br/></div><div><strong>THE INVESTIGATION SO FAR</strong></div><div><br/></div><p>PRO-3 regional director PBGen. Ponce Rogelio Peñones said the incident occurred around 8 p.m. on November 25, but was reported to the Porac police only at around 11 p.m.</p><p>“So, immediately, we conducted an investigation,” Peñones said.</p><p>Based on the victim’s account, she and her guests were forced into a restroom and locked inside while the suspects took the money.</p><p>Police investigators obtained CCTV footage showing four individuals wearing bonnets fully covering their faces.</p><p>After coordinating with the Angeles City Police Station, investigators received an unsigned letter from within the station implicating five police officers in  the robbery.</p><p>A station commander with a major rank and four Police Non-Commissioned Officers from the Angeles City Police Station and the Zambales provincial police were implicated.</p><p>Despite the letter being unsigned, Peñones ordered the creation of Special Investigation Task Group (SITG) to ensure an in-depth investigation and build an airtight case.</p><p>Peñones also immediately ordered the relief of the said officers.</p><p>A background check showed that three of the five already had derogatory records, including involvement in a shooting incident and robbery-extortion.</p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/regions/2025/11/24/15-pdeg-cops-relieved-over-alleged-robbery-rape-of-grade-9-student-in-bacoor-1340"><strong>15 PDEG cops relieved over alleged robbery, rape of Grade 9 student in Bacoor</strong></a></div><p>Authorities are set to file criminal and administrative charges against the cops.</p><p>“Talagang for dismissal ‘yan, wala tayong mercy dito,” Peñones stressed.</p><p>(That will be for their dismissal.
