Photo from Diyosesis ng Daet/Facebook </div>MANILA — Pope Francis on Wednesday appointed Father Ronald Anthony Timoner of the Diocese of Daet as the new bishop of the Diocese of Pagadian.The 53-year-old priest will take over the position of Bishop Ronald Lunas, who died on January 2, 2024.The Vatican announced Timoner’s appointment at noon Rome time, or 6 p.m. in the Philippines.Timoner, born in 1971, studied at the Holy Rosary Major Seminary in Naga City and theology at the University of Santo Tomas Central Seminary in Manila.He was ordained a priest for the Diocese of Daet in Camarines Norte on May 1, 1997.Prior to his appointment as bishop, Timoner served as diocesan administrator of Daet.
