<p>MANILA (UPDATED) — Former Vice President Leni Robredo has taken a huge lead in the mayoral race in Naga City.</p><p>Based on the partial and unofficial results as of 9:46 p.m. on Monday, Robredo already has 80,963 votes from 80% of election returns. </p><p>She is far ahead of her rivals, Toots De Quiros (6,084), Louie Ortega (844) and Ganda Abrazado (718).</p><p>Robredo had promised to strengthen mechanisms to achieve good and transparent governance in Naga City.</p><div><a class="fr-green fr-strong" href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/2024/10/4/former-vp-robredo-confirms-running-as-naga-mayor-unveils-slate-1126">Leni Robredo running for Naga mayor</a></div><p>Her late husband Jesse Robredo was the city&#x27;s long-time mayor as well.</p><p>Robredo is also known and championed by her supporters because of her Angat Buhay foundation which has chapters all over the country and in US.</p><div><a class="fr-strong fr-green" href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/2024/5/7/former-vice-president-leni-robredo-brings-angat-buhay-to-u-s-2337">Former vice president Leni Robredo brings Angat Buhay to U.S.</a></div><p>&quot;Thank you very much, my fellow Nagueños, for the big win -84,259 votes equivalent to 91.6% of those who voted.
