Gikan sa masa para sa masa,” he said in a Facebook post.</p><p>(The welfare of the people will come from the voice of the majority. From the people for the people.)</p><p>Winning candidates in Davao City were proclaimed on Tuesday afternoon at the Sangguniang Panlungsod. </p><div><a class="fr-strong fr-green" href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2025/5/13/-overwhelming-votes-for-duterte-shows-total-rejection-of-icc-arrest-kaufman-1129">READ: ‘Overwhelming’ votes for Duterte shows ‘total rejection’ of ICC arrest -- Kaufman</a> </div><p>Davaoeños cheered “Duterte!” despite the absence of the former president after he was proclaimed as the newly-elected mayor of Davao City. </p><p>Elected vice mayor Sebastian Duterte and re-elected Davao City first district representative Paolo Duterte did not attend the proclamation, while Paolo’s sons Omar and Rigo were present after winning 1st district councilor and 2nd district representative respectively.</p>
