KALINGA — The Chico River water level under Pasonglao Bridge in Tabuk City, Kalinga reached the yellow warning level as of 6 a.m. of Saturday, due to continuous rains brought by Severe Tropical Storm Crising, intensified by the southwest monsoon.

Local authorities issued the alert after monitoring river gauges, which indicated an increased risk of flooding in low-lying and nearby areas.

Residents, especially those living near the riverbanks and other flood-prone zones, are advised to stay alert and prepare for possible evacuation should the water level rise further.

The Kalinga Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) and Tabuk City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) are closely monitoring the situation and are already coordinating with barangay officials for any emergency response.
