Jonathan Cellona, ABS-CBN News </span></span></span></div><p>MANILA — The Laguna de Bay&#x27;s average water level has now reached 12.51 meters, exceeding its &quot;critical high&quot; threshold of 12.50 meters as of 10 a.m. Thursday, following the continuous heavy rains brought by the southwest monsoon, tropical storm Dante, and typhoon Emong.</p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/weather-traffic/2025/7/24/emong-maintains-strength-as-it-heads-to-northern-luzon-0919">Emong strengthens into a typhoon as it heads to northern Luzon</a></div><p>The Laguna Lake Development Authority said this signals “a heightened risk of flooding for lakeshore and low-lying communities,” and advised residents to prepare for possible evacuation and take preemptive measures.</p><p>The agency noted that it would take months for the lake to recede to its normal level, even with decreased rainfall.</p><p>Laguna officials on Wednesday <a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/regions/2025/7/23/bi-an-drrmo-warns-public-against-massive-logs-drifting-in-waterways-2327">pushed</a> for the dredging of Laguna de Bay to alleviate the flooding in the province.</p><p>Biñan City Rep.
