<div><span class="fr-img-caption fr-fic fr-dib" style="width:960px"><span class="fr-img-wrap"><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1753587914798viber_image_2025-07-27_10-28-19-714.jpg" style="width:960px" class="fr-fic fr-dib"/><span class="fr-inner" style="text-align:left">Mamburao has been hit by severe flooding. <em>Courtesy: Mikmik vlogs</em></span></span></span></div><p>OCCIDENTAL MINDORO (<strong>UPDATED</strong>) — The town of Mamburao in Occidental Mindoro is running out of basic goods, particularly food, following severe flooding there, its mayor said Sunday.</p><p>In an interview with DZMM Teleradyo, Mayor Glicerio &quot;EK&quot; Almero III said that there is almost nothing left to buy in stores across the town.</p><p>&quot;Ang request po namin, of course, yung pagkain kasi po talagang nagkakaubusan po dito,&quot; said Almero. &quot;Sa ibang tindahan po ay wala ng mabili.&quot;</p><p>(Our request is for food because we are really running out. Some stores have nothing left to sell)</p><div><a class="fr-green fr-strong" href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/regions/2025/7/24/mamburao-occidental-mindoro-placed-under-state-of-calamity-0101">Mamburao, Occidental Mindoro placed under state of calamity</a></div><p>The shortage of basic goods has been attributed to delayed deliveries as strong waves kept ships from Batangas from docking at the Abra de Ilog Port.</p><p>However, the mayor remains hopeful that a fresh supply of goods will start to arrive in the coming days.
