Patay ang dalawang umano ay mga miyembro ng gun-for-hire group matapos na makipagbarilan sa mga pulis sa ikinasang buy-bust operation sa Maharlika highway sa  Brgy. Sumilang, Calauag, Quezon nitong Huwebes ng hapon.Ayon sa report ng Quezon Police Provincial Office (QPPO) , ang mga napatay  ay kilala umanong sangkot sa mga serye ng pamamaril sa Sariaya, Candelaria, Tiaong, at Lucena City at  pinaniniwalaang miyembro ng isang gun-for-hire group.Ayon sa ulat, ikinasa  ng mga operatiba ang PIU QPPO ang buy-bust operation bandang alas-3:10 ng hapon sa isang gas station sa Barangay Sta. Maria, Calauag.Pero natunugan  ng mga suspek ang operasyon kaya mabilis na tumakas patungo sa direksyon ng bayan ng Tagkawayan.Agad namang  inalarma  ng PIU ang Calauag police sa insidente at nagtayo ng checkpoint sa daraanan ng mga suspek.Papalapit pa lamang ang mga suspek sa checkpoint ay  pinutukan nila ang mga nakaabang na mga pulis  nagumanti rin ng putok.Nagkaroon  pa ng hot pursuit  habang patuloy ang palitan ng putok  na nagresulta  sa pagkamatay ng dalawang suspek. Wala namang naiulat na sugatan sa panig ng pulisya at sa mga sibilyan na nasa lugar.<div>  </div>
