Courtesy: Max FM- Midsayap"/><span class="fr-inner" style="text-align:left">Rescuers respond to the incident involving a mini dump truck in Lebak, Sultan Kudarat. <em>Courtesy: Max FM- Midsayap</em></span></span></span></div><p>MANILA (UPDATED) — Twelve people, including a 14-year-old girl, died while 13 others were injured after a dump truck plunged down a ravine in Barangay Christianuevo, Lebak town in Sultan Kudarat on Wednesday, according to the Police Regional Office 12 (Soccsksargen).</p><p>Police said the truck — carrying 25 individuals including the driver — was en route to Cotabato City from Barangay Poloy-Poloy when its brakes failed while descending a steep, curved road.</p><p>The truck hit concrete debris from an ongoing road construction before plunging into a ravine.</p><p>The driver and the passengers were rushed to South Upi Municipal Hospital, while two others were brought to Sultan Kudarat District Hospital.</p><p>All passengers were residents of Barangay Senditan, Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao del Norte.</p><p>They supposedly came from a “pamamanhikan” and were on their way back to Sultan Kudarat when the accident happened.</p><p>The fatalities have been laid to rest.</p><p>Maguindanao del Norte Governor Tucao Mastura personally offered his condolences to the families of the victims. </p><script data-wid="auto" type="text/javascript" src="https://content.viralize.tv/display/?zid=AAFz8gWM8iRADsJr&amp;cid=ABd6M9IUjdMtryrN"></script><div><strong>OTHER NEWS</strong></div><div><span class="fr-video fr-deletable fr-fvc fr-dvb fr-draggable" contenteditable="false" draggable="true"><iframe width="640" height="360" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/UkyQ4aiNHt8?&amp;t=1s&amp;wmode=opaque&amp;rel=0" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen="" class="fr-draggable"></iframe></span><br/></div>
