NAGA CITY – A sea of devotees, pilgrims and visitors filled the streets of Naga City on Friday to show their devotion to Our Lady of Peñafrancia, the patroness of the Bicol region.  According to the initial estimate of the Joint Operations Center, around 500,000 individuals joined the Traslacion for the 2025 Peñafrancia Festival. Hours before the Traslacion, people started lining the streets where the images of ‘Ina’ and El Divino Rostro will pass by for the procession.  Despite the downpour earlier in the day, devotees did not waiver and stayed put for the Traslacion despite waiting for hours.   The image of Our Lady of Peñafrancia was transferred from the Old Peñafrancia Shrine and Parish to the Naga Metropolitan Cathedral. Devotees and pilgrims cheered and chanted “Viva La Virgen! Viva El Divino Rostro!” passed by the area. The image of El Divino Rostro reached Peñafrancia Avenue corner P. Burgos Street before 5 p.m.  Naga City Mayor and former Vice President Leni Robredo was among those seen walking during the Traslacion.  Robredo was greeted by residents as she entered an establishment along P. Burgos Street.   Shortly after her arrival, the image of ‘Ina’ passed by the same area before 5:30 p.m. The crowd present celebrated Her arrival by cheering and saying their own prayers.  The image of Our Lady of Peñafrancia quickly left the area and eventually reached the Naga Metropolitan Cathedral, where a Holy Mass took place.<div> </div><div><iframe width="640" height="360" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/X3MagbYVc0g?&amp;wmode=opaque&amp;rel=0" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen="" class="fr-draggable"></iframe> </div>
