EOD Batallion Support Command PA</div>DAVAO — Authorities recovered 23 unexploded explosive ordnance in Barangay Buhangin Proper in Davao City on Saturday, January 24.Based on the technical inspection by the Army&#x27;s Explosive Ordnance Disposal Batallion Support Command, the explosives have a combined weight of nearly 32 kilograms and are believed to date back to World War II.The bombs were types used by the Japanese military, authorities said.<div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2025/7/8/two-wwii-bombs-hand-grenade-unearthed-at-up-college-of-medicine-0856">Two WWII bombs, hand grenade unearthed at UP College of Medicine</a></div>Despite being old and already corroded, the bombs were assessed to still pose a serious threat to nearby residents and the surrounding community.The vintage explosives were safely recovered from the area, and authorities assured the public the area is now safe.
