Nasa 4.9 feet naman ang high tide noong Martes at Miyerkules, May 19 at 20, habang 4.3 feet naman ngayong Biyernes, May 22.</p><p> Ayon kay Barangay Captain Amor Angeles, ang mga banyera ang nagsisilbing panangga sa malakas na agos ng tubig mula sa ilog. </p><p>Aniya, ganito na ang sitwasyon sa kanilang barangay tuwing high tide at kailangan nilang gumawa ng alternatibong paraan para makadaan ang mga residente at mga tricycle sa parte ng kalsadang katapat ng bukana ng ilog.</p><p> Sa listahan ng mga flood control projects sa Sumbong sa Pangulo website, may isang proyektong nakalaan para sa Barangay Nicolas na nagkakahalaga ng P77,199.997.92 at may &#x27;completion date&#x27; na July 7, 2023. </p><p>Ayon pa sa listahan ay Wawao Builders ang contractor ng nasabing proyekto na may project description na &#x27;Construction of Flood Mitigation Structures along Barangay San Nicolas, Hagonoy, Bulacan.&#x27;</p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2025/9/1/wawao-builders-exec-invokes-right-vs-self-incrimination-in-flood-control-probe-1848">Wawao Builders exec invokes right vs self-incrimination in flood control probe</a></div><p>Kinumpirma naman ni Angeles at ni Jhong Cristomo, executive assistant ni Hagonoy Mayor Charo Sy-Alvarado, na walang naitayong flood control project sa Barangay San Nicolas noong July 2023.</p><p> Sa ulat ng ABS CBN News noong September 1, 2025, humarap sa pandinig ng Senado ukol sa maanomalyang flood control projects ang presidente ng Wawao Builders na si Mark Allan Arevalo pero tumanggi siyang magsalita tungkol sa ghost projects na diumano ay kinasasangkutan ng kanyang kumpanya.</p>
