BATANGAS — Authorities arrested a couple allegedly involved in the illegal drug trade and tagged as high-value individuals during a buy-bust operation conducted by operatives of the Batangas City Police Station in Barangay Sta. Clara.The suspects were identified only by their aliases “Bogs,” 45, and his live-in partner “Bopak,” 44, a fish vendor.Seized from the suspects were 42 heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing a total of 209.74 grams, with an estimated street value of P1,426,232.<div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2026/5/20/drug-suspect-falls-in-buy-bust-over-p13-m-worth-of-shabu-seized-1819">Drug suspect falls in buy bust; over P13-M worth of shabu seized </a></div>Police said an undercover officer pretended to be a buyer during the operation.The suspects were immediately arrested after accepting the marked money amounting to P10,000.The arrested couple is now detained at the Batangas City Police Station custodial facility and is facing charges for violation of Sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
