<p>Ten foreign nationals, including four Israelis, were arrested by Immigration agents during an operation in General Luna, Surigao del Norte last Friday.</p><p>The Bureau of Immigration (BI) said the foreign nationals were nabbed for violation of Immigration laws including undesirability, overstaying and engaging in gainful activities without permit. </p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/regions/2026/5/25/bi-heightens-immigration-presence-in-siargao-amid-foreign-violators-1618"><strong>BI heightens immigration presence in Siargao amid foreign violators</strong></a></div><p>Aside from the four Israelis, Immigration agents also arrested two Chinese, one Lithuanian, one Australian, one Moroccan and one Nigerian.</p><div><span class="fr-img-caption fr-fic fr-dib" style="width:600px;display:block" width="600"><span class="fr-img-wrap"><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1782643251377viber_image_2026-06-28_17-42-00-798.jpg" style="width:600px" class="fr-fic fr-dib" alt="Handout/General Luna Municipal Police Station" width="600"/><span class="fr-inner" style="text-align:left"><em>Handout/General Luna Municipal Police Station</em></span></span></span></div><p>The foreigners were previously arrested by General Luna MPS for crimes they have allegedly committed and the reports were forwarded to the Immigration bureau for follow-up and deportation proceedings resulting to the operation.</p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2026/5/4/israel-embassy-condemns-misbehavior-of-some-israelis-in-siargao-2025"><strong>Israel Embassy condemns misbehavior of some Israelis in Siargao </strong></a> </div><p>They are currently under temporary custody of General Luna MPS pending their transfer to the Immigration detention facility. </p><p>The filing of immigration-related charges and deportation proceedings are being handled by the BI.</p>
