Gen. Elmer Ragay said.The operation was conducted at around 11:50 p.m. on June 2 in Sitio Dungoan, Barangay Perrelos, Carcar City by operatives of the PNP-DEG Special Operations Unit 7, in coordination with the Carcar City Police Station, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Regional Office 7, the Integrity Monitoring and Enforcement Group 7, the Cebu Police Provincial Office–Provincial Intelligence Team, and the Regional Intelligence Unit 7.Authorities identified the suspect only by his alias “Exequel,” listed as a High-Value Individual (HVI) in the government’s anti-illegal drugs campaign.<div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/regions/2026/4/18/p3-7-m-worth-of-shabu-seized-in-cebu-buy-bust-2-suspects-arrested-0855">P3.7-M worth of shabu seized in Cebu buy-bust; 2 suspects arrested </a></div>Seized during the operation were approximately 65 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated standard drug price of P442,000, along with several other items.The suspect was taken to the Carcar City Police Station for documentation and the filing of charges.The confiscated drug evidence was turned over to the Regional Forensic Unit 7 for laboratory examination.Ragay commended the participating units for the successful operation.“Because of your continuous coordination and dedication, we have successfully sustained our campaign against illegal drugs,” he said.The arrest forms part of the PNP’s ongoing efforts to intensify its anti-illegal drugs campaign and dismantle the distribution networks of prohibited substances across the country.
