<div><span class="fr-img-caption fr-fic fr-dib" style="width:960px;display:block" width="960"><span class="fr-img-wrap"><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1784685890900thumbnail-F7m3y2hyWVI-1280x720 (9).jpg" style="width:960px" class="fr-fic fr-dib" width="960"/><span class="fr-inner" style="text-align:left">Police arrested on Tuesday an 18-year-old allegedly behind a series of online bomb threats targeting several public and private schools in San Ildefonso, Bulacan. <em>📸 PRO3 PIO </em></span></span></span></div><p>MANILA — Police arrested on Tuesday an 18-year-old allegedly behind a series of online bomb threats targeting several public and private schools in San Ildefonso, Bulacan.</p><p>“Hours after authorities launched a manhunt, the suspect was apprehended at around 6:29 p.m. on July 21 in Barangay Hilera, Jaen, Nueva Ecija, through a joint operation by the San Ildefonso Municipal Police Station of the Bulacan Police Provincial Office, in coordination with the Talavera and Jaen Municipal Police Stations under the Nueva Ecija Police Provincial Office,” said Central Luzon police chief Brig. Gen Jess Mendez. </p><p>The online bomb threats, which surfaced on July 20 and 21, caused alarm among students, parents, school officials, and residents, the official said.</p><p>Authorities immediately conducted follow-up investigations, validated the suspect’s identity, and carried out intelligence-driven operations that led to the arrest.</p><p>The suspect is facing charges for alleged violation of Presidential Decree No. 1727 or the Anti-Bomb Joke Law, Article 282 of the Revised Penal Code, in relation to Section 6 of Republic Act No. 10175 or the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012.</p><p>Police recovered a cellular phone believed to have been used to post the bomb threats. </p><p>The device will undergo technical and forensic examination by the Provincial Anti-Cybercrime Unit as part of the ongoing investigation.</p><div><br/></div><div><strong>RELATED VIDEO</strong></div><div><strong><span class="fr-video fr-deletable fr-fvc fr-dvb fr-draggable" contenteditable="false" draggable="true"><iframe width="640" height="360" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/Da26Cx9tQu8?&amp;wmode=opaque&amp;rel=0" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen="" class="fr-draggable"></iframe></span></strong><br/></div>
