<p>MANILA — Four South Korean nationals were arrested in Angeles City, Pampanga after they were caught allegedly operating online workstations linked to the transfer and laundering of proceeds from offshore criminal activities, according to the Bureau of Immigration’s Fugitive Search and Capture Unit (FSU).</p><p>The four arrested suspects were reportedly in the Philippines on tourist visas.</p><p>The operation was conducted from noon of August 12 until early morning of August 13 at a hotel in Angeles City.</p><p>The FSU was initially implementing a mission order against two other Korean nationals in coordination with the Korean National Police Agency and the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group Regional Field Office 3.</p><p>However, authorities said the two subjects were not found at the target location.</p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2026/6/22/korean-national-found-dead-in-nueva-ecija-2-arrested-1324">Korean national found dead in Nueva Ecija; 2 arrested</a></div><p>Instead, operatives encountered four other Korean nationals who were allegedly caught in the act while operating online workstations linked to the illegal transfer of proceeds from offshore criminal activities.</p><p>Preliminary findings by Korean authorities indicated that the four allegedly managed several private bank accounts used to launder illicit revenues.</p><p>The four suspects are now temporarily held at the Angeles City Police Office while authorities await the filing and resolution of applications for Warrants to Search, Seize, and Examine Computer Data (WSSECDs).</p><p>The warrants are part of the investigation into possible violations of the Anti-Financial Account Scamming Act and the Anti-Money Laundering Act.</p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2026/7/16/korean-fugitive-wanted-by-interpol-arrested-at-naia-1721">Korean fugitive wanted by Interpol arrested at NAIA</a></div><div><br/></div><div><strong>RELATED VIDEO:</strong></div><div style="text-align:center"><iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/hbW9GRY0qy8?si=IT3BH397HxAKfyPw" title="YouTube video player" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen=""></iframe></div>
