<p>A 74-year-old American fugitive was arrested by Bureau of Immigration operatives during an enforcement operation in Tanza, Cavite, Wednesday. </p><p>According to Rendel Sy, Chief of the Bureau of Immigration-Fugitive Search Unit, the operation stemmed from a request by the US Embassy in Manila for assistance in locating and arresting the fugitive.</p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2026/8/14/filipino-fugitive-in-650m-fraud-case-lands-on-fbi-s-most-wanted-list-1614"><strong>Filipino fugitive in $650M fraud case lands on FBI&#x27;s most wanted list </strong></a> </div><p>The fugitive has an outstanding warrant of arrest issued by the Minnesota Department of Corrections on April 10, 2026, for allegedly violating the conditions of his supervised release.</p><p>His underlying charges involve multiple counts of criminal sexual conduct.</p><p>BI records showed that the fugitive arrived in the Philippines on April 1, and was admitted as a temporary visitor.
