Niño, Puerto Galera, Oriental Mindoro, on Sunday afternoon.Puerto Galera Police Station chief PMaj. Simeon Tutaan Jr. said nearby police stations were immediately alerted and checkpoints were set up after a witness provided a description of the vehicle allegedly used by the gunman. The shooting occurred at around 2:10 p.m.CCTV footage showed a red car circling near the victim’s house before capturing the vehicle leaving the area shortly after the shooting.The vehicle was intercepted at a checkpoint in the town of San Teodoro. Inside were the alleged gunman, two other men, and a pregnant woman.Police recovered two unlicensed .45-caliber firearms from the vehicle, which authorities believe may have been used in the crime.The pregnant woman reportedly complained of abdominal pain and was brought to a hospital for medical attention. Authorities have yet to determine her involvement in the killing.“We are looking at all angles, including her work, in determining the possible motive of the suspects. For now, what is important is that we have an eyewitness who was able to identify the gunman, as well as the getaway vehicle. The details we have gathered are sufficient, as of the moment, to file the appropriate charges before the prosecutor,” Tutaan said.The four suspects are facing murder charges.
