<p>BATANGAS &nbsp;&mdash; Authorities arrested two women in an entrapment operation after they allegedly extorted a large amount of money from a 50-year-old man in exchange for supposedly dropping a rape case against him in Lipa City, Batangas.</p><p>The two suspects were caught in the act while receiving more than P100,000 from the victim during the entrapment operation at a convenience store.</p><p>According to the investigation, the victim met one of the women online and eventually agreed to have sexual relations with her. \</p><p>The victim allegedly did not know that the woman would later use the encounter to blackmail him.</p><p>&ldquo;Naka-chat niya yung isa sa mga suspek for sexual services .And then nung in-avail niya yon, nagkita sila. Iba naman yung mukha kasi ang ganda daw noong sa social media.nagkaroon ng pambablackmail na isusumbong &nbsp;nga daw sa asawa,&rdquo; said PLtCol Aleli Buaquen, chief of the Lipa City Police Station.</p><p>The suspect allegedly demanded P100,000 from the victim in exchange for not reporting the incident to his wife. However, even after the victim gave the money, the suspect allegedly continued to demand another P110,000.</p><p>The victim later received a text message from a person claiming to be Lipa City Police Chief PLtCol Aleli Buaquen, allegedly instructing him to settle the amount to resolve the case.</p><p>The suspects also allegedly presented a subpoena purportedly issued by a court in connection with the rape case supposedly filed against the victim.</p><p>The victim then sought assistance from authorities.</p><p>&ldquo;Pero upon verification, ang notice o ang papel mismo... ay peke. Walang ... piskal na ganoon ang pangalan. Then mayroon din siyang natanggap na message na galing daw sa hepe ng Lipa... galing sa akin. Hindi ako &#39;yon. Buti na lang at nag-validate sila.,&rdquo; Buaquen said.</p><p>Police said the suspects allegedly used Buaquen&rsquo;s name and posed as a police chief and a prosecutor in an attempt to intimidate the victim and convince him to hand over the money.</p><p>The suspects, aged 21 and 28, were arrested during the entrapment operation. They refused to give a statement.</p><p>Lipa City police reminded the public to verify the authenticity of documents with the proper government agencies and to remain vigilant, particularly when individuals claiming to be government officials offer to settle a case in exchange for money.</p><p>&ldquo;Sa general public, ipinaaalala po natin na walang judge, walang piskal o prosecutor, at walang warden kahit hepe ng kapulisan na makikipag-directly communicate sa inyo at magse-settle ng kaso, dahil may tamang proseso para diyan,&rdquo; Buaquen said.</p><p>The two suspects are facing a robbery with extortion complaint.</p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2026/5/22/2-babae-sa-quezon-city-arestado-sa-sextortion-1500">2 babae sa Quezon City, arestado sa &lsquo;sextortion&rsquo;</a></div><div><br></div><div><strong>RELATED VIDEO:</strong></div><div style="text-align: center;"><iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/ynd0aFxvle8?si=0gZqhaLGFvhRpIOw" title="YouTube video player" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen=""></iframe></div>
