<p>An emotional support robot designed to combat isolation, anxiety, and depression was shown at CES 2025 in Las Vegas, Nevada by Mixi Inc., who introduced their latest Romi Lacatan model.</p><p>Scott Paik, a Mixi representative interviewed by Reuters, said that unlike traditional conversational AI, Romi’s in-house-developed technology ensures it provides genuine empathy and natural conversation.</p><p>Romi’s interactions aim to reduce feelings of loneliness, especially for those who might spend long periods without social contact.
