<p>MANILA — The Philippine Space Agency (PhilSA) has released flood extent maps to help show how Typhoon Inday-enhanced southwest monsoon, or habagat, affected the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).</p><p>The flood extent maps captured on July 10, 5:31 a.m. showed flooded areas, including rice-planting areas, across Cotabato, Maguindanao Del Sur, Maguindanao Del Norte, and Lanao Del Sur.</p><div><span class="fr-img-caption fr-fic fr-dib" style="width:960px;display:block" width="960"><span class="fr-img-wrap"><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1783819943154745715556_1016627041158888_5663131685313923123_n.jpg" style="width:960px" class="fr-fic fr-dib" width="960"/><span class="fr-inner" style="text-align:left"><em>Photo from Philippine Space Agency</em></span></span></span>PhilSA noted that the Sentinel-1 Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) satellite imagery used for the analysis may underestimate flooding in urban and densely vegetated areas and are subject to ground validation.</div><p><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/weather-traffic/2026/7/11/-inday-exits-par-signal-no-1-still-up-in-batanes-1136">Habagat </a>continues to persist despite Inday&#x27;s exit from the Philippine area of responsibility on Saturday morning. </p><p>At least <a href="http://as of Saturday">17 people </a>have been reported dead, while nine are missing due to Inday and habagat as of Saturday, according to the Office of Civil Defense.</p><p>More than half a million people have been affected. </p><div><br/></div><div><strong>RELATED VIDEO:</strong></div><div style="text-align:center"><iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/Wzbrm0G30e8?si=C1K9fcNdQLv7NBRO" title="YouTube video player" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen=""></iframe><br/></div>
